Baseball Weekend
September 17, 2006 by jon.
Two games this weekend for Brad. Both against teams from Batavia. The Brewers on Saturday and Marlins today.
Against the Brewers, Brad went 2 for 2 with a walk and two singles. One good one to right field. He also played first, catcher, short and left field. As Brad said, they won 21-11.
Today the game was a little more difficult. The Marlins were a much bigger team. Going into the 4th we were tied 3-3. The Marlins scored a run in the top to make it 4-3. Then we came to bat. A number of walks and a few hits later, we were up 6-4. Then the skies opened up and the game was called. The score stands.
Brad played, third, right and he pitched the third inning. He walked one, gave up a hit, struck out two and got one to ground out to him and he had an easy throw out at first. The guy who walked stole second and third and ended up scoring on the hit. It was a good inning. For hitting he was 0-1 with a strikeout and a walk.

It’s Baaaack!
September 17, 2006 by jon.
We’re so happy. The Amazing Race is back! We’ve been waiting all summer for this show and tonight they started in Seattle. 12 teams of 2 this time and it looks like they are really going for diversity this time. A wide mix of all types. Not too sure what they are trying to do with all of the different types of teams. What are your thoughts?
We like this show because of the game and the geography. It’s neat how they mix in travel and local culture. If you haven’t watched this before, you might want to give it a try.
